PEMS for Mentors

PEMS allows you to;

• log on and see students allocated to you or link a student in your placement to you

• see your PIN code for approving student hours

• approve hours on student timesheets

• record absences for students linked to you

• view notes, action plans and audit details for your placement

• view Student Evaluations of Placement Experience (SEPEs) for your placement

• complete a Mentor Evaluation of Placement Experience (MEPE) for your most recent student

   

 

Reporting Absences

All students are expected to report any absence from placement to both the placement team/mentor and to the University.  The student should contact their placement at the earliest opportunity to report their absence and their likely return date.  Absence should then be reported daily unless signed off otherwise to placement so they are aware of when to expect you.

Mentors can report the students absence to the University by logging on to PEMS and recording it there.
