Evaluation After

Once you have completed your placement, you will be asked to evaluate your experience by completing a Student Evaluation of Practice Experience (SEPE).  You will receive a reminder email after your placement has finished for you to do this.

In order to complete this, you will need to log on to PEMS and access the form.  Answer the questions and submit! Click here to see information on PEMS.

Evaluating your placement is an important part of your practice experience.  It allows you to have a voice in what worked well at the placement and what could be developed and how.  It requires you to reflect on your experience and give feedback on your learning, mentor, and the placement environment.  This feedback is then used to help practice and mentors develop the way they deliver learning experiences to students, as well as helps us to discuss any issues with our partners.  Any issues you have experienced during placement will have been raised by you to your mentor, practice, IPST member or the Practice Placements team at the University, and the SEPE is a way of telling us what was done about your concerns by these people.

You must complete your SEPE as soon as possible after your placement has finished so we can collate and evaluate the feedback received.  This means feedback can be given to placements in time for the next placement round.

Mentor Awards
You can nominate your mentor (or mentors) for an award in our annual mentor awards where we celebrate our partners for their significant contribution to your learning.  The form can be found here Mentor of the year award form and returned to us at healthcareawards@lincoln.ac.uk.  This can be done at any point in the year and you can check Blackboard for the closing dates for the current year.  You need to complete the sections giving details on how you think your mentor meets the points (not a score – that section is for the panel!)
