Audit

An audit must be completed for all placements that we use.
Competency Assessed Placements have to have an Educational Audit completed.  The process for this can be found here.
This audit is in two parts – Part 1 and Part 2.  Part 1 is completed by a senior organisation lead and an academic.  Part two is completed by a placement auditor and an academic auditor.  The audit is completed electronically on PEMS and submitted to our main database.  Audits need to be reviewed and completed every 2 years.  Action plans may be set if there are areas that need attention and will be reviewed to ensure completion.  You can view your audit prior to the academic coming out on PEMS so that you can prepare what is needed.
As part of the audit, all placements are asked to review their placement profile on PEMS and update/amend as necessary.  You are also required to review your mentor information and report any changes to the relevant database holder.  For Lincolnshire Trusts, any changes need to be reported to the IPLU by emailing IPLU.System@ulh.nhs.uk.  For the private, voluntary and independent sectors (or non Lincolnshire Trusts), any changes need to be reported to the University by emailing uolpractice.support@lincoln.ac.uk

Public Health Elective Placements have to have an Insight Audit completed. The form for this can be found Elective Placement Self Audit.
This audit is completed by the placement themselves on the form provided, either manually or electronically and held at the University of Lincoln.  Audits need to be carried out and completed prior to each Public Health allocation (so this may be every year if you take students each year).

You will be informed in advance of an audit being due by a member of the Nursing Team and a date will be arranged to conduct the audit.
